Finely carved scroll (masterly grafted to the neck ) and accurately inlaid purfling. This beautiful violin shows actual and former repairs, but no open cracks or open seams. The table is finely grained spruce and the 1-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. The instrument has been carefully repaired (see detailed photos below) on our behalf in the workshop of Joana Bruno (Pukka violins) and checked by our violin player on playability. It received a new setup with newly fitted elder ebony pegs, ebony tailpiece & ebony chinrest, a new Teller bridge, new soundpost and new strings. A widely worked scroll ( masterly grafted to the neck with bushed peg-holes ) and carefully executed double inlaid purfling shows skilled craftsmanship by an experienced master luthier. Some professional repairs on the front table, which is of finely grained spruce. The 1-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. The shiny, light-brown varnish bears some traces of intensive playing, as are typical for antique violins with good musical qualities.

The violin was carefully worked over in our workshop, where it received new ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge, and new strings. The warm, bright sound is well balanced and suitable for serious players. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams.
