Nicely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is finely grained spruce and the 1-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthier and by our violin player on playability. It received new ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. These are new silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider any other renowned brand of higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin!

This light-weighted masterpiece shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is finely grained spruce and the 1-piece back is nicely flamed maple. Fingerboard is ebony. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthiers and by our violin player on playability. The warm, bright sound is well balanced and unfolds with good volume and clarity, typical for antique violins with good musical qualities. Noteworthy is the immediate response, suitable for soloists. In our workshop it received a new setup with newly fitted palisander pegs, tailpiece & chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings. total 59 cm / 23.2", body 36 cm / 14.17", vibrating chord length 32,5 cm / 12.8", weight 405 gr / ~14.3 oz.
